I bought this tea for my mother's 87th birthday. It's really such a nostalgic tea to get her as her ancestors were from that particular region in China. Aside from the familiar sentiments, according to my mother, the tea is full of spring bouquet, smooth, and freshly plucked.A good harvested tea is a fine plucking . Look for the two leaves and a bud. One can actually notice this especially when the tea has been steeped . As with green or white teas which are a little more delicate than the typical black or oolong, avoid using boiling water at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the boiled water to cool down for a couple of minutes before steeping. This usually bings out the best of the white or green teas.We also appreciate the packaging. The freshness of the tea is sealed in individual packets.We strongly recommend it to give the white peony as a gift or treat yourself with this exquisite heritage. It's truly poetic in both its name and its taste.

I use white tea as a refreshment and also for health reasons.this tea is good for many things.I use it to take inflammation out of my body as the medical profession has proven that Inflammation is the main cause of many heath problems including cancer and heart trouble.this tea is an exquisite tea depending on how you brew it, it has many different flavers,the shorter time you brew it the sweeter it tastes the longer you brew it the stronger it gets.you can brew it several times,I get two 72 oz pitchers out of. Just .25 oz or one of the six small packs that comes in the tin that means I get 12 pitchers out of one $14 tin which makes it a very good buy.I steep for 30 seconds and still get. a good sweet tasting tea with good flaver.Try the different brew times suggested by the seller till you achieve the flaver you like

This tea is beyond ur standard tea bags. people, who used to those, - this gem is not for you. To appreciate the unique nature of this tea you should have been drinking similar quality for some time. The tea has absolutely spectacular and convenient package, very very convenient for the tea preparation. The tea leaves are very gentle and mixture of white/light brown and dark brown colours. The box itself is extremely intriguing and once you get into the content, put it in the tea pot and steep it right.... aroma and taste absolutely nothing you ever tried before or if you did, it might be a top class restaurant in US or Europe or China.Very very special tea, pity you can not get more of it in loose shape....

Honestly its not as much tea as I imagined , in terms of quantity I mean , but still by far one of the best teas I've ever had. It's very nice and neatly packaged.The smell is very fresh and natural , exactly what you'd hope to find in an organic loose leaf tea .Very nice orange-ish/brown color and the taste is amazing . It has a very smooth clean taste. Not bitter at all nor does it leave a bad taste in your mouth. I highly recommend this tea and even though it wasn't as much as I'd hope , I'm just being picky , still an exceptional tea that deserves 5 stars.

This is not a tea I will purchase again as the leaves are very broken and have almost no fragrance when dry/package opened. It has little taste/fragrance when steeped. Perhaps I have been spoiled by unbroken leaf white teas, but I expected a special flavor from this 2012 premium version and was disappointed. It may have been better a few years ago, now it seems stale and not worth the cost for me.

First the tea itself is awesome, it's super smooth and brings authentic flavors to mind, in particular when still hot, this tea has become my all-time favorite in the morning and early afternoon. It's also great when I have to wait for late lunch over meetings, as its full-bodied feeling helps cut any crave for food and the first sip puts me in relaxation mode instantaneously (just has to wish for it and it happens:)Also, the packaging: it comes in a few really nice little paper bags, each with enough leafs for 8-10 cups, so easy to spin-up one at work, another one when traveling for a few days, another one for a friend. That's super convenient.

White Peony Tea is not the same tea you see in the photograph (which I believe is silver needle). However, this tea is totally worth the money and you get a neat tin you can reuse when you buy more white tea, because it's so good for you.The mesh tea ball will still have some leaves go through it. That's fine - it's very difficult for white tea to get bitter (like green tea). I already used it to steep four cups of tea and my longest steeping time is only 70 seconds. You can steep this 18-20 times, up to about 4-5 minutes.I like to drop a few fresh pieces of fruit in mine- berries, apples, pears (bite-sized) or sliced ginger to give it an added boost. I use local honey to sweeten it a bit but it tastes good all by itself.

This tea comes in a very beautiful container that I will probably use long after the tea is over. Inside the container, there are six individually packed smaller bags that will help preserve the aroma of the tea. and allow me to enjoy it over a longer period of time. The tea is very flavorful and aromatic. I had never tried white peony tea before and I am very glad I tried this brand. I bought it as a present for my wife and she absolutely loves it! She can't stop raving about the aroma and the light but complex taste. I will highly recommend this tea for anyone, novice or connoisseur, who is looking to try something new and complex. You will not regret it and will never go back to those store-bought brands!
