Sudden Strike is a real-time strategy war game containing more than 40 missions in three campaigns. Set in the battlefields of World War II, players can choose from Russian, German, French, American, and British missions. There are up to 1,000 units per scenario. Units can gain experience points and are available from one mission to the next. Some available personnel units are: snipers, engineers, submachine gunners with grenades, squeeze gunners, Panzerfaust gunners, and officers. Vehicles include: Tiger, Panther, SturmTiger, and Elephant tanks; tank destroyers; armored cars; long-range howitzers; Katyusha rocket launchers; transportation trucks; and aircraft. Players can build fortifications and pontoon bridges. There are both summer and winter campaigns in which to engage. The multiplayer mode supports up to 12 players and four teams.
