These clippers are so loud that you could not get them near an animal. The description is very misleading. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Buy the more expensive brand that you can actually use. They also got very hot in a few seconds of being on while we were trying to adjust them so they would quiet down. We even applied oil as suggested to cool them, it did not work! Do not waste your money!! I did not use them right away when I got them because we had just borrowed someoneelse's to sheer before a show. The next show was over a month away. I tried to return them but because it was 2 days past my time limit the company would not take them back.

Sent it back it was too aggressive of a shear cutting apparatus for me, it was intimidating. It may work well for someone in the business. For me it was a casual use item for my one sheep.

I was amazed how nice they were for the price. We have a Llama and she hasn't been sheared for over 10 years. This shears worked awesome. My only complaint is the bottle of oil was missing. But that was minor. The shears are great. Very sharp.

These are heavy duty! These work so well will pay for themselves!

Well, these are a bit rough.... and the oil was leaked out all over the package. I couldn’t return them due to the smell.
