They seem fairly sturdy. I could do with one color lid. We are a family of 6, and we are all going in different directions daily. We also home school and have special needs kids, so we spend almost every day driving around from activity to therapy, etc. My kids also have food alergies, so we cannot do a one-size-fits-all packed lunch that we can just pass out. Each person requires their own lunch (Lucky me!). We have a color assigned to each kid, and they know which container belongs to them.The containers are harder than the Gladwear or others you get from the grocery store, so they are a lot more sturdy. They also stay shut well and can handle some rough kids. I love that the large compartment is big enough for a good-sized salad, while the other compartments usually hold my meat selection and dressing. The compartments are deep and the cover seals over each of the compartments so my foods stay separate until I’m ready to combine them. Plus, the containers are made with a sturdy plastic, so I’m not afraid it will crack if I drop it. The package came with 5 dishes and 5 covers so I can meal plan for my entire work week, and I’m washing them in my dishwasher with no issues.
