If you don't like seed oils due to omega 6 and pufas, but you need a liquid oil, this will be your best friend. It is high in mufas which are very stable on high heat, so it can easily handle frying up to 230 degrees celsius. It has a slight nutty taste, which doesn't overpower other ingredients. It is also quite buttery, so if you don't like butter due to its low smoke point this is a good alternative when ignoring ghee. I previously used extra virgin olive oil, but it's higher in linoleic acid and Pufas which are very unstable and unhealthy especially on high heats. It smoked everytime I fried stuff, this oil does not. It comes from south african macadamia nuts, and is 100% pure cold pressed. I make my own veggie burgers and normally use olive oil for lightly frying them before putting them in the freezer. Only problem was, they kept sticking to the pan.This time I thought of using Macadamia Nut Oil because it can be cooked at a high temperature. Not only did they not stick at all, I used far less oil than previously.I have been trickling it over my cooked vegetables and it tastes great.
