I have not, but I bet it would work fine. My only complaint is there isn't a channel inside the frame as a cutting guide. I have screened both nylon and metal doors. I would recommend marking well over the frame and cutting away from the frame because it takes a bit more pressure to cut the metal. The door is extremely light weight. Our cats learned how to use it quickly and it is a great convenience. I hope this helps
