Ginger grows all over the Big Island, but we buy only the best of the edible ginger variety, by carefully harvesting only the most delicious parts at just the right time. This jam is full flavored, but not overpowering. It is wonderful with roasted pork and chicken. We like to slather Ginger Jam on a chicken before roasting. Use it as part of a marinade or glaze the next time you cook on the grill.

My family enjoys unusual foods, so finding healthful treats is an on-going process to provide for family members who may also have dietary restrictions.  No Sugar-Added Ginger Jam really fit the bill.  Not only is ginger good for you (there are various articles on the net about the benefits of eating ginger), but is a delicious way to spice up other foods.  So No Sugar-Added Ginger Jam was just a perfect choice.  It can be enjoyed just like any other jam - on toast, English muffins, scones, muffins - whatever you eat with jam.  It can be spooned into tea or coffee for a delicious pick-me-up.  It can be dolloped on pre-baked cookies, tart shells or biscuits.  It can be used for a refreshing and totally unusual ice cream topping.  It can even be used for cooking (try making a delicious basting sauce with soy sauce for seafood and chicken!)This
