Backgammon Set with Mother of Pearl Design (Large)

You get what you pay for.In addition to what you get, the board arrives with an extremely potent, foul, and unidentifiable stench, which I believe will go away soon.This board, as shown above, does not have the dividers for the pieces, so be aware when purchasing this product.It's not a hand-pieced board, which is usually why one would get an ornamented board (to flaunt your goods).

This is a great Backgammon set. It looks nice, is sturdy, and the pieces are well made. The dice are small and cheap, but that is my only complaint. I ended up switching them out for dice I already had. For the price, you can't beat it! It's nice and big and looks very classy. I would definitely suggest this set.

Purchased this exact backgammon set from same vendor. Although I payed about 40 dollars less at the vendors website. Not only does this backgammon board not have real mother of pearl, the entire design, including the wood grain, inside and out appears to be a cheap decal that was glued to the MDF fiber board and then coated with several layers of clear coat. The MDF shows through in several places especially at the outside corners. Not to say that this backgammon set doesn't look pretty, but upon close inspection it's lacking in quality. Definitely a mass produced product. For about the same price you could purchase a board made in Syria that employs actual inlaid woodwork. Would return, but then Id have to pay for return shipping, I'd rather apply the money towards a better quality backgammon set. OK if you just want to play backgammon. If you are looking for an authentic hand crafted Middle Eastern piece then look elsewhere.
