Cool product, but wifi troubles are devaluing my purchase
It's cool, but even being 10 ft away from 2 wireless routers, it can't seem to stay connected to the wifi very long. And my router isn't the problem.I also have notifications setup so I know my cat is being fed. but sometimes, even though I have pre-set feeding times, I don't get a notification and I can tell my cat wasn't fed when he's freaking out the second I get home. I can't figure out why this happens --- i have it plugged in, batteries in, pre-programmed. So i don't really see why this would be happening. Either way, also kind of frustrating seeing as how I got this for a week long vacation i'm taking soon and I'll have to have someone check on him anyways bc the feeder just isn't as reliable as I was hoping.

Awesome pet feeder
I’ve recently accepted a new position at work that has required me to travel more frequently. However, finding a dog sitter for my 9 year old Maltese hasn’t been as easy as I thought. Luckily, a friend suggested this pet feeder to me so I decided to try it out. The seller was very polite and even sent me a follow up email after my purchase that went over the most common compatibility problems, such as using the wrong Wi-Fi connection or kibble size.Setup was a breeze. I plugged in the AC adaptor, downloaded the app according to the instruction booklet, and connected the pet feeder to my Wi-Fi. Make sure your Wi-Fi router has 2.4 Ghz enabled, otherwise it won’t work. Using the app was pretty easy, too. I could either set up my own automatic feeding schedule or do a remote manual feeding option if I wanted to feed my dog myself. The camera and two way audio were great features. I couldn’t see my baby “fully”, due to the camera lens placement, unless he got really close to the feeder, but I think I could live with that. Since my dog is pretty small, his dry food is only about 8 to 10mm. I’ve had the feeder set up for about 2 days now. But so far I haven’t experienced any food jamming or Wi-Fi disconnection issues. Overall, I’m satisfied with the quality of this automatic smart pet feeder and I would recommend it to people who frequently have to travel away from home for a few days. After all, I wouldn’t want to leave my baby at home for so long without anyone to take care of him.As a side note, the feeder says that it requires 3D batteries but it actually doesn’t need them if you just use the AC adapter. It can operate on 3D batteries but a lot of the functions that need Wi-Fi will be shutdown. The feeding schedules I set still worked but I couldn’t use the camera or speaking function.

Android app only works with older versions (use an old tablet or phone?)
I've been using two of these feeders for the past few years. They DO work fairly reliably, and the connectivity issues became less annoying as wi-fi hubs and mesh improved. (They work very well on my new google w-fi now).Unfortunately, the Android app stopped working when my phone updated to Android Pie, and it is now unsupported. (NO REPLIES TO EMAILS) I reinstalled to app on an older Android tablet I had lying around and finally managed to access the feeders again, but am VERY ANNOYED that these expensive pieces of technology are no longer supported with currently updated software.I also checked a few of the "newer models" to see if there might be another app that would control them, but those also seem to be having issues with Android Pie updates.) I do HOPE they issue an update!!

Smallest serving size is way too much
I really like the quality of this product. Set up was quick and easy. I had it up and running in just a couple of minutes. Unfortunately I am unable to keep this product and will have to return it asap. The smallest serving size is well over 1/3rd cup of food, which is way more food then my dog should eat at one sitting This device only works in pre-set "portions" and you can choose between feeding 1- 10 portions at a time. The fact that I cannot customize the serving size to the correct serving make the product useless for me. I have an 11lb Pomeranian who eats 2/3rd cups total a day split up between 4 meals times. I need a device that feeds 3 grams of food per serving. not 10 grams minimum per serving. I'm disappointed this ultimately will not work for my needs as it seems study and reliable. The camera future is awesome and having a direct line to be able to talk to/ listen is unbeatable.

Started off great, now wishing I didn't purchase....
UPDATE- feeder will stop working after some time and will start saying "device is abnormal". I was told to unbind device and restart feeder. After hours of trying to do so, it finally worked, but you need to use a different email address every time. So I have now used 3 since this feeder has stopped working 2 other times. It is not reliable, won't let you know when it doesn't dispense food and will randomly stop working. DON'T PURCHASE~~~Purchased this five months ago and worked great! It would feed my cat at the times requested and even though it would sometimes show "no food," you can press the manual button a few times and it would work. Now, after the five month mark, the feeder no longer connects to wifi and will not allow me to reset it. I have watched numerous videos and I have been trying to get it fixed with their customer service and after 10 days, they have not been able to help me (even after the reset, remove from plug, etc). The customer service rep said that other people have been having this same issue and will look into it - unfortunately no response yet and the feeder still doesn't work.

When it works it is great but when it doesn’t it is frustrating
It has served me well for the most part but often times it is not reliable. Sometimes food gets stuck, sometimes it says excessive food and would not dispense food. I have to exchange it once from company due to malfunction once already and am beginning to see the similar problem again. Also it is ok workable with 2.4 WiFi and not 5 also is troublesome. When it works it is great but when it doesn’t it is frustrating.
