Cigarette burn resistant?

Most likely it is, you need heat to conform it to the table so if you do burn it with a cigarette it would leave a black burn mark on it like it would any other plastic so i recommend using an ash tray

This would be horrible for kitchen island. It's ery thin. I returned it.

32 x17, does not matter how high your product is. Just width and depth if it is a table top or counter, etc...

Can I use this in a table for kids 24x24 ?

I don't see why not. You might have to cut the corners to round them off. You also did not indicate how young the kids are. I don't think that you have to worry about them eating this stuff. It is fairly durable. I had to use a powered cutter to cut this stuff. A heavy duty pair of scissors may work to round the corners. I would clean these things with a food safe kitchen cleaner before using them for kids.
