I bought 2 of these. They work like a charm. I installed the Tuya Smart app (android) on my phone, and registered the app (with Tuya). Then, I inserted one of the plugs into an electrical socket. The little light at the top started rapidly flashing blue. Opened the app, and told it to search for a device. Within a few seconds, it said it detected the plug. I entered the PW for my guest WiFi network, and the connection was completed. The light stopped flashing, and was solid blue (indicating that the plug is on). There's a button that allows you to turn it off / on manually (useful for, say, a plug attached to a coffee maker - if you're standing next to it, you don't have to pull out your phone).Now, I can turn the plug on / off with a tap on the phone. This works not only in my home, but also from anywhere there is an internet connection. I can do it from my office, miles away (and it's almost instant - my wife & I were on the phone, and she watched the plug go on / off in real time, as I tapped my phone screen). This remote access works because - after you've set it all up correctly - the Tuya app on your phone is not communicating DIRECTLY with the plug (in which case you'd have to be nearby). Rather, the phone app sends the instruction (e.g., "turn this plug on") to a Tuya internet server, and that server relays the instruction to the plug via your WiFi router (that's why, at setup, the app asks for your WiFi PW - the plug needs that, in order for the server to be able to access it).Each plug is identified by a unique long number (so the server can talk to that specific plug) but to make the app easier to use, you can apply a name of your choice to each plug (e.g., "Water heater", "Coffee maker"). As well as turning on/off, you can set a countdown ("turn this off in 42 minutes"); and you can set timers (turn water heater off at 10PM every evening, and turn it back on at 5AM every morning).So far, everything has worked flawlessly. Very impressed. My only concern is that it's basically all reliant on Tuya's servers; if they go offline, the plugs will be basically useless.

This product is amazing! I was skeptical about this product but figured I could return it anyways if it didn’t work. Received it today and install the app for my i-phone 6. Easy installation and plugged my lamp into the socket. I could turn it on/off without any problem using my i-phone 6 through wifi. I was more amazed it came with a lightning cable (works for both i-phone and Samsung S6 Edge). I thought they made a mistake but checked the listing again and found the purchase came with a cable. Very satisfied with the purchase! Hope it will last long.

These inexpensive plugs work t great with the Amazon Echo or using the iPhone app. I have about 8 of them around the house and they work every time without problems.

I managed to install and set up the Tuya App on the second try (I guess not too bad). Don't even have to buy a wall charger for my home office since it comes with it. My wife will not complain about me not turning off the home office light; I will turn it off using my phone before she even realizes it! Love it!

Didn't even last a year. I opened it up and found a fried connection with burn marks on the plastic. So not only did it not last, it seems very unsafe.I also contacted the seller and received no response.

The smart plug worked beautifully for months then all of a sudden it stopped working with the Tuya App. Without the app the timer function no longer worked, only manually or through Alexa. I contacted Klear the manufacturer via email, text and Facebook Messenger and they NEVER responded. Seems they don't stand behind there products!

Got the product. A little confusing with the usb cable. finally realize it is only 1 cable, not 2. surprise to see a 2 in 1 cable but it works well. connection is easy too. good value.
