PERFECTPurchased this to replace the "old welded, super sturdy smaller sized unfix-able 40 year old spatula and the much newer piece of junk" My wife said "we have one just like that". She looked closer and said "WOW, thin blade like I love"! (yep, more brownie points!) lolSo she left it in the sink after it was used and this morning it had started to rust.To me, no big deal. It tells me the stainless is made with a large amount of high carbon steel. We have knives made from high carbon steel, they don't look pretty but they do hold an edge much longer than your pretty stainless.Back to the Spatula, knowing this please be advised if you want your spatula to look pretty, a. don't use it, or b. clean it immediately after use, dry it thoroughly and use some food grade mineral oil to keep the blade lubed and rust free til next use. (I can see myself cleaning ALL our High carbon stuff like that...lol NOT).The patina delveloped has its own characteristic's and so to us, its not a big deal.Updates when they come.
