A: Hi - the stand is made of metal and seems very solid.  It is made to be height adjustable.

A: Nathan, hi... the best I can say is that it's sturdy. My HP Pavilion laptop - the bigger one (sorry, useless with sizes - maybe weighs 1.5kgs?) sits comfortably on it.

The adjustable height is really useful — it’s easy to raise the screen to eye level, which has helped reduce neck strain. I also like that it folds down flat, so I can put it away or take it with me if needed.
