Barely skims the surface
This book is the equivalent of what is normally the the prologue alone in other books; it briefly overviews common identification features (body shape, tail shape, mouth opening, etc.), but does not provide more detailed information regarding any particular species. Photo examples are not accompanied by a description defining what species is represented in each picture, resulting in me having to do google searches to figure it out. Thus, my search for a semi-decent book on the identification of the fishes of the Indo-Pacific continues. Don’t waste your money.

Waste of money
This is NOT an identification book of any use. I thought it might be something useful on my chrome so I wouldn't have to bring an additional book. It has general information ONLY on a few types of fish from the Indo-Pacific, it is useless as a guide unless you can't tell a lion fish from a squirrelfish.

Very informative.
Useful reference guide for the first time snorkeling person.More photos would be even better, for each species and types.

Très succinct ...
Trop succinct, n’est absolument pas un répertoire complet, mais uniquement une présentation de familles de poissons. Peut utile sous cette forme.
