Xbox One S 500GB Console - Forza Horizon 3 Bundle [Discontinued]

Works great! Can't complain! What's not to love about an xbox one?

Bought this new in box for the 4K Blu-Ray player with gaming as a bonus. When I started it up, it REQUIRED me to connect to the Internet. After putting in my wifi password, the console would restart rather than continuing with set-up, EVERY TIME. After looking for help online, I connected the console directly via an Ethernet cable. As I continued the setup process after finally connecting to the Internet, it began to download a required update. The update froze at 74% and the hard drive started clicking loudly. I tried a few more times with the same result. I looked online some more, and found that the clicking is a very bad sign. Others had the same issue, but rarely out of the box. I sent it back and did not replace it out of fear of getting a bad hard drive that may not show its ugly face until after the return period has expired.

Well, there are a couple issues I have still. Needs better support for non standard resolutions, my monitor is 1680x1050. If you have a non-standard monitor, you may find things a bit blurrier than you expected because it scales everything to 1280x720. There's no analog audio-out, so I needed a converter box and room for an extra surge protector wart. I played Halo 5 on this and the frame rate seemed very smooth (I'm guessing it caps at 60), though it was a bit blurry because of the downscaling issue. It looked like I might as well have been playing Halo 3. Destiny 2 was not as smooth, it but it maintains a stable 30 FPS and is adequate for getting through the campaign. Other than these issues, it plays games, so I'm not gonna complain (much).

SUPER FAST one day delivery! I got mines in the mail right away and started setting up my Xbox one S. This is still a great buy if your ever wondering to get the one s or the newer edition that just came out as of Aug. 29th. 2017. The box is unopened (brand new) but did seem like a display (touched around here and there on the outside ONLY). Anyways! Everything works as it should and boy does this thing still look amazing. Will hopefully be looking to playing this after I'm done installing Froza H. 3! This is only a review on the business side of things, not in detail of the Xbox itself. So overall, buying it, having it shipped here, and plugNplay was just as good as going to say bestbuy and buying it From there. This kit IS, the 500gb Xbox One S w/ FH3 bundle.

Hi all I have to say is that its worth it for the price that it was sold as when I bought it plus with the game! me personally I never played on Xbox and with this bundle it is amazing coming from a pc platform plus with just 80 dollars you can get a 2TB SSD rather then paying like double for a 2TB Xbox one s console and the game! Bottom line LOVE IT no regrets.

Oh how I wish I had researched before buying!! Apparently the newer consoles make it so you have to download every game before you play it, this can take literally days. What we have learned is that the graphics are so good on these newer games you need to install the game instead of just inserting a disc!! We just rented a game from Redbox and it’s been 30 mins and we have downloaded 3 percent! The kids lost interest!! If we had it to do over again we would have done our research! What a lesson!!

The console works great playing games, experienced only one crash while playing Forza Horizon 3. However, the store UI is frequently unresponsive(have to wait as much as 15 seconds after selecting an input). I find it easier to power on my PC and push installs from Microsoft's website. The controller has become discoloured, to a shade of yellow.
