The Magnate Stainless Steel Double Edge Safety Razor + 5 Free Blades From The Handlebar Shaving Company

I got this as a surprise gift for my husband.He had been using one purchased at a local big box store that was supposed to be great quality....It wasn’t. High price and no quality.He says The handlebar on the other hand is amazing. Right out of the box it was superior. He says “it’s The best shave he has ever had”.The black always looks clean and the handle grips keep the wet razor from slipping. He loves the open top, so much better than the butterfly open. Well worth the small price.Nice hefty razor..it’s no joke. Beginners should use caution.

Was looking for mid tier safety razor and this one is a great choice. It's on the heavy side, but easy to adjust. The razor blades that come with it are average. I would recommend POL Silver blades, the best you can buy

Great shave and very little hassle. Seems to also stand up well to repeated use. Handle grip is nice and allows for a good firm hold while shaving. Offers a fairly close shave but without allowing the blade to come too close and seems to prevent nicking or razor burn well. Sometimes I do wish it shaved just a little closer than it does but if it did, it probably would cause burn and wouldn't be as smooth. Paired with a good safety razor and good shaving soap, it makes for a very smooth and easy shave.

This is not a quality DE Safety Razor. I was going to try a razor with a longer handle and different design. The razor had good weight and the handle was nice, but the 3 piece design wasn't good. The two top pieces were offset when assembled. One side was higher than the other causing the blade to be slanted on an angle. This did not help shaving. The blade was also more protruding on one side compared to the other. Don't waste your money on this DE safety razor. You will probably be disappointed as I was.I had noticed a similar post as mine, prior to purchasing it, and I should have taken it into more consideration. This razor is being returned to Amazon pronto.I went back to a Merkur HD and I will never regret it. There is something to be said about their quality and design.

I love the heft and feel of this razor. But I find the coating aggressive on my skin, I have tried multiple blades all with the same results. My chrome plated and stainless razors do not produce the same effect.

This is my fourth double edge razor over the years and I’m only on my second shave with it but I love it. Feels nice and heavy and very precise in my hand. Very easy to get in books and crannys like under the nose or my chin divot. I’d love to see more options for a finish and a slightly longer handle in the future but I’m very happy with my purchase.

Product came as described but came damaged and uneven. I'm not sure if it's because of the damage or other people have alignment issues...kinda of disappointed...

Perfect fit for the hands. Has a good weight to it so you know your holding something while shaving. The machined handle works perfectly for me to shave my head. It doesn't slip from in between me fingers while I'm shaving the back of my head. It is SO EASY TO CLEAN, compared to the 3,4,5,6 blade disposables.
