Don’t buy. Plug is faulty.
Loved the size. Not as bright as I would like. Plugged in for first time and smelled burning after 5 minutes. Pulled out plug and it was burning hot. Packing up and sending back.

How to turn on
How do I turn it on? I have it plugged and there is a blue light on the side that’s on but I can’t figure how to turn on

Poor quality. Backlight flickers and illumination is uneven. Radical difference in light output between battery and AC operation, no matter what degree of charge battery has. Scale markings are not precise and look like a child's ruler. Pitiful instructions are worse than none at all. I returned the one I purchased. Suggest you look elsewhere for a similar product of higher quality.
