This mylar is thin...
The actual thickness of this mylar is 0.001". It is not ultra thick. I checked this with an accurate machinist mic. The packaging indicates that it's thickness is 0.6 mils, which is just over 0.0005" thick. One side is standard shiny mylar and the back side is a dull gold color. If you are looking for thick mylar, this is not it. I am thinking that this is probably the thinnest mylar you can buy.

great quality, arrived in perfect condition
Package arrived intact. I opened one blanket and it looked perfect. I bought these to keep at my preschool for emergency weather protection -- I expect they will be more durable than many other mylar sheets available.

They seem to be well made and are very compact. I have no needed to use one yet but they will be easy to pack and carry.
