The King 10" Ultimate Dreams Gel Memory foam mattress is firmer alternative to our 13" Ultimate Dreams Gel Memory Foam mattress. Our 10" mattress offers the same memory foam pressure relieving qualities without as much initial softness on top. The Ultimate Dreams 10" Gel Memory Foam mattress offers great support and comfort. The 3 inches of Gel Memory Foam will allow the mattress to sleep 30% cooler than your standard memory foam beds. The gel beads in the memory foam disperse your body heat evening throughout the mattress allowing it to sleep cooler. The cover on this mattress is a velour cover. The velour cover offers comfort and durability. We manufacturer this mattress right here in the USA with 100% USA made materials. USA based manufacturing means less off gassing and higher quality components. If you tried a 10" memory foam mattress in any local retail store you will love the feel of our mattress.

Luxury Sleeping
I picked this mattress after extensive research on durability and minimizing lower back pain. The mattress came in a tight roll. The regular delivery guy brought it right up to my apartment door (no tipping needed). Removing the plastic and unrolling it onto the frame was easy, one person can do it. It took shape in a matter of minutes. Fairly short with neat corners, the sheets fit easily. The faint new-materials smell lasted for about two nights, but was not bothersome. It feels surprisingly firm and supportive, yet soft and lovely. I am tall and skinny, a light sleeper on my back and sides. I've used a super soft expensive mattress for so long, it took me a week to unlearn all the bad postures I've acquired to minimize the discomfort. This mattress is wonderful! I sleep all night and wake up refreshed and without pain. It is a bonus that this was made for me in the US on the day I ordered it.

Compared to Tempurpedic and Bragada
In a nutshell, we liked the twin we bought for our son so much that we turned around and bought the queen size for ourselves. You hop on the mattress and you really do not want to get off. We were not sure about going with the Dreamfoam mattress so we had gone to the furniture store and were reminded why we like memory foam over the beds with inner springs. Even the high end spring mattresses don't compare to how a good memory foam custom molds to your body in just a couple of seconds relieving any pressure points. I notice the difference as the memory foam does not seem to aggravate my neck and back pain.We have been on a generic memory foam for ten years and we have purchased two Bragada mattresses for the kids in the past. The Bragada is a decent mattress with a lifetime (but LIMITED mind you) warranty that I have slept on when one of the little ones can't fall asleep on his or her own. While an alright mattress, it lacks the density and heavy feel that the Tempurpedic foam has. Having looked at the details of the Bragada warranty, my opinion is you are no further ahead warranty wise as if you just bought the Dreamfoam mattress at the lower price. We have sampled Tempurpedics and own some Tempurpedic pillows (we actually have a friend that sells Tempurpedic). The Dreamfoam product has almost the same feel as the nice dense Tempurpedic yet the Dreamfoam product is much less expensive (I think I can buy six Dreamfoam mattresses for one Tempurpedic). We chose the 10" mattress (our chiropractor recommended the firmest mattress you feel comfortable on) and have been quite pleased. Here is a hint, if you order the 10" mattress and decide it is too firm, you can order the 3" gel memory foam top and you will have spent about the same amount as buying the 13" outright so if you are not sure which one to order, you may want to get the 10" mattress.I hope this review has been helpful to you. I am not a regular reviewer, which again attests to how much I like the mattress. It may seem weird to order a mattress on line that you have not laid on, but it is well worth the money you save over some of the competitors and we are certainly glad we tried the Dreamfoam mattress.

a bargain
So far, so good. We were impressed with the delivery and packaging. We kept our original boxspring and frame, which has meant it is a bit too soft (sinky). We are shopping for a platform bed, which we expect will help. For the price we have been very happy. My husband is twice my size, so it is tough to please us both. He had been having back pain with our former traditional mattress and this has stopped.

Even firmer than expected
DreamFoam describes this as a "firmer alternative" to it's 13" mattress. That sounded perfect since my wife and I always purchase firmer mattresses, but in reality, it feels closer to an extra-firm, in my opinion. We waited a couple days after shipping for the mattress to expand to its natural shape, then we tried it and were disappointed. The initial feel was similar to our older Tempurpedic, but foam displacement seemed much shallower, and after a night's sleep, we both had aches from the firmness. I tried further "breaking in" that Tempurpedic suggests by stepping on and compressing every square inch of the mattress several times, but that did nothing to change the level of support. We tried adding a 1 1/2" memory foam mattress topper to solve the problem, but that did almost nothing to solve the problem. Desperate to make the mattress work, I took the 4" top layer from our dismantled old Tempurpedic and placed it over the DreamFoam. That made the bed more comfortable, but I still woke up with the same aches. Without dismantling the mattress, I can only guess this is from very firm foundation layers that do not contour to your shape as well as other memory foam mattresses.I am an average-shaped man; 5' 11", 180lbs, thirty-something. When I camp, I sleep with only a sleeping bag on the ground. When I stay at a friend's house, I can sleep on carpeted floors with no problems. Yet this bed was too stiff for me.Perhaps the 13" DreamFoam mattress would have been better. With no way to try them in stores, I chose the "firmer" 10" option based on DreamFoam's description. I was wrong. Thanks to a no-return-upon-opening policy, we're stuck with it. Do yourself a favor and really research the firmness before ordering. Choosing a "firmer" option means nothing when you cannot try out the 13" mattress they are comparing to and describe as a "softer...feel versus traditional memory foam mattresses." After re-reading the reviews on the 13", that model is often reviewed as firmer than the Tempurpedic Cloud Luxe. I will never know. There's no way I can risk another disappointment I cannot try out or return.Do you want an extra-firm? This may be for you. Do you want something firmer than most without being too firm? I suggest something else.Pros:-Low off-gassing-Sleeps cool-Inexpensive alternative to other brandsCons:-Firmer than the "firmer alternative" description implies-No good way to test or compare mattresses for feel-No returns once you open the box.

DreamFoam Mattress Ultimate Dreams 10-inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress, XL Twin
Delivered as promised even tho the packing was slightly damaged-no damage to the mattress. Easy to handle in rolled-up state. Carefully cut the plastic and pulled it away and watched the mattress expand! Very very little 'funny smell' at first and not detectable when I went to sleep on it six hours later. Not too firm for me and seems to return to full shape after I get off of it.I'd recommend this mattress even tho I was hesitant to order online.
