I recommend it for writing/journaling
Paper is very thin. I recommend it for writing/journaling, but not as a sketchbook (which is what I bought it for).

Fabulous high-end paper journals/notebooks for fountain pens at a great price.
Among the finest paper I've ever used - I just love these notebooks! Excellent for fountain pens - no feathering, no bleed-through and virtually no ghosting, so I can use both sides. I've used nearly EVERY brand of fine paper notebooks available and these papers are among my very favorite. I use this size, B5, and A5 but because they do not have an A4 size available yet here I use Apica CD in A4 size notebook; another brand I highly recommend. However the Apica paper, while excellent for fountain pens, is so smooth that some nibs don't respond well to their almost slippery feel; no tooth, so it limits the nibs I can use. Whereas the Tsubame papers have worked with every nib and ink that I've tested on it. I really love these but am over the moon about their Fools notebook with ivory/cream colored papers. You can really see the watermarks on those sheets (available through this seller) which is something like a multi-columned ledger. The watermarks and color of the paper, as well as the generous quantity of sheets, give it an especially vintage look and feel. Shipping from Japan really hasn't taken long either. They say to give it 2 weeks when you order. I actually got these notebooks and the Fools Cream notebook before I got the USA made leather covers I specially ordered for them (from another company) even though the covers were supposed to be in stock. I bought refillable leather covers so that I now use these notebooks as my journals because I liked the paper so much better than what came in my old leather journals. I highly recommend these notebooks if you like white paper and the Fools Cream notebooks for ivory papers.
