Pretty nice Chinese teapot
I bought this pot thinking it looked like the pot in the photo. Unlike another reviewer, I was looking for a low-key, antique looking dull red pot. Instead, I received a fairly glossy BRIGHT orange-red pot instead. But I'm getting used to it.It is made by a company called Rikyu. But don't let the Japanses name fool you, it is made in China like the pots with the Kafu branding. For a pot in the $40-$50 range, it is what it is. You get what you pay for. It doesn't have the quality of a Teavana pot, an Iwachu brand pot, or any Japanese made pot for that matter. It will never be considered a work of art. It is a nice functional iron teapot that will do the job very well. It also is enameled very well inside including the spout which some of the cheaper brands don't enamel. All in all, a nice purchase until a better one comes along.

Decoration only
First of all it came with the handle off. Since its iron, I literally had to go to a gym and get the two strongest guys to get the handle on for me. And yes they struggled. Second of all you cant put it on a stove you have to boil water and pour it in. Third its only one small teacup size.

Love it!
So I was really nervous about this - the photo makes it look like a dull, boring teapot, and I almost bought a different one because of it. But don't worry! The teapot I got was a beautiful vibrant red - exactly what I was hoping for.CONS:Shipping cost highHandle took 30 minutes to get onSome tea leaves can escape through metal filter (common, though).PROS:Awesome vibrant redFast shippingCame with asian newspaper - I mean... come on. How awesome is that?I never review hardly anything, but I had to give a shout out for this teapot. I love it!

New Meaning to 'TEA"
Talk about a beautiful tea pot. I wake up in the morning and immediately feel relaxed when I see it sitting on my stove. The cast iron is EXCELLENT at heating to a boil, then removing from heat until the water is perfect before adding the tea, and the result: A perfectly brewed 2 cups or so of tea.I certainly am glad that this item is available. I would love to get more as presents to my dearest friends who would appreciate the beauty and also the fine tea it brews.JohnWest Los AngelesPS! The two tea cups are CAST IRON too. Supurb!
