It had some sort of floral-like scent to it and I was not smelling any hint of vanilla initially. I wanted to wash it right off but decided to just let it set on my body and wait for the dry down. Well, the dry down ended up being amazing on me and all I could smell 30 min later after the initial sprays were sweet creamy whipped vanilla. It even stayed on my body overnight and when I woke up in the morning the sweet vanilla scent as still there. It was long lasting on me, -a sweet, whipped vanilla smell that wasn’t overpowering and was just strong enough. Love this stuff and for the price you can’t beat it! I know as an Amazon shopper, I get paranoid and wary of the counterfeit problem the site has and refuses to fix. Foreign/Chinese companies selling counterfeits of the real thing for the same price and lower quality. It’s an issue, I’ve gotten a few. I purchased this on the Body Shop, fell in love, ran out, and needed another in a quick bind and didn’t want to wait the requisite “5 business day” waiting time.
