Best Ever!
Lucky Country Aussie Style Black Cherry Licorice is THE BEST TASTING in black cherry licorice I have ever had in my life....so far. ( am currently awaiting an order of Black Heart black cherry, so this review is to be continued).Lucky Country: ya get about 16pcs per 6oz bag...each piece is about 2"...you get a rich, deep-red coloring...not too sweet...not too firm or sticky...worth the cost...terribly hard to find...i even contacted the company in NC but no one picked up the phone on several occasions...the website no longer shows this product so this made me very concerned about the freshness of my order...my batch is good until 25APR2014...yay! Because of this product I REFUSE to eat any other so-called "cherry" licorice. I seriously need to learn how to produce my own! ENJOY!

Pineapple licorice is a great novelty.
I bought this pineapple licorice for my son several times. I buy the whole case as a gift because it is not easy to find this product. He absolutely loves licorice but most stores do not sell pineapple, and this is one of his favorites. The whole family has had some, and we all enjoy it. I give him the case and he treats himself to a few pieces at a time, and the case lasts him quite a while. It's a great gift for someone who loves licorice and pineapple.

Best Licorice Ever!
I was given a sample of this licorice from a friend who bought it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. With so many of the standard brands having little flavor, this was an immediate standout. I have only tried the strawberry flavor, but it has a rich taste, and is a "soft" but still good and chewy licorice. I love it. When it wasn't available at Bed Bath, and Beyond, I found it on Amazon, and of course, it is considerably less expensive. The only downside is that you must buy 12 6 ounce packages at once. For me, that's not really a problem.

This licorice is pretty good. They're solid chunks at just the right length and they taste good. They're not too hard. My only issue, though not really a complaint is that I received 20, 4.4 oz bags instead of 12 6oz bags. Not a bad deal for me as it calculates to more licorice for me! I don't know if they screwed up my order or were just out of the 6oz or something so don't be shocked if you get it like this too.

I LOVE the Black Cherry and the Black!
Yummy, chewy, filled with flavor in every bite. I've also had the Green Apple and while good, not quite as satisfying. The Black Cherry is devine! The Cherry flavor pops with the first nibble; rich and full. Now I need to try the other flavors. Lucky Country is sometimes sold at Walmart (Black only) and used to be found at Costco....but is generally difficult to find. Amazon has a great selection!

Tastes great - Too expensive
The flavor is excellent - sweet, but not overly so, and tangy without any hint of bitterness. The consistency is also great - chewy and not very sticky. The color is a pleasing translucent yellow, similar to the flesh of pineapples.I would certainly give it five stars if the price was not so high.

Great flavor
This is such a unique flavor. There Is nothing really to compare it with. Once you've tried it you will be hooked as well.Traditional and strawberry licorice is good, Black cherry not one of my favorites. The 6 ounce bags are the most economical And I even got free shipping from Amazon.

Made in the US version, not the same recipe as Imported from Austrailia version
I thought, wow, bulk Lucky Country Red Licorice, sweet, but alas no, it is a mass produced Americanized version from Lucky Country's new US manufacturing plant. The recipe is completely different from the Lucky Country Red Licorice (same brand, same name) that is Imported from Australia. The original recipe has more real licorice despite being a red licorice, and is much softer. The Made in US version is your typical chewy waxy candy licorice with barely a hint of licorice, just pure sweet. Shame on Lucky Country for taking a high end sophisticated product and watering it down like every licorice sold in every drug store in the US. I'm heading back to Target or Trader Joe's for the real thing.
