In the wild Syrian Hamsters (I have several) can run up to 5 miles per night so these little guys and gals need good quality, reliable wheels to keep them healthy and happy. They sleep all day, are active all night so without anyway to run off and release that energy they can become stressed and/or depressed. I personally recommend Wodent Wheels. They are worth every penny and it’s an investment in your pets well being. The 8” and 11” are fine for Syrians. My hamsters love them. Wodent wheels disassemble for thorough cleaning (ask parents for help). My Cream Teddy Bear Hamster, Sadie, urinates as she runs sometimes (yuck) so I’m very glad I can take it apart to clean. They are durable, stable exercise wheels that come in a variety of fun colors to fit your chosen color scheme. Silent Spinners were my favorite until my hammies out grew the 6.5” but the larger 10” Silent Spinners had some design flaws that made them unstable and prone to breaking. I have 2 Wodent wheels now and I’m eyeing another one because I want to replace a SS. I’m very happy with this purchase. It arrived in excellent condition, the shipping was fast (within the USA) and the price was reasonable compared with other sellers. 5 stars
