As advertised, brings the dialog out of the background music/noise. Makes a HUGE difference. Don't have to use closed captions to watch some of our favorite shows, especially on BBC. And, surprisingly, the low frequency "cube" has a good punch for music. Be sure and add that to your system. Had used Orb before for surround but makes a really good main system. And the small amp module is very handy. Not a huge amount of connection options, just the ones you need. Very happy with the system. And remember, if you have a smart TV, turn off the sound and convert the optical output to PCM, not Dolby Digital, or the Orb won't work. Great idea for you to hear without headphones or excessive volume.

Let my start by saying these speakers sound absolutely amazing. The dialogue boost is fantastic. I have a noisy air condition right next to my couch and was always having to blast the audio so I could hear dialogue. Not any more. One button, boom, sounds clear. I waited a few weeks to write this review because I wanted by subwoofer to settle in, and to have a chance to try these speakers out with a variety of shows and movies. Across the board, everything sounds better.And the looks? They look absolutely amazing. Really class up the joint compared to my old speakers, plus they don't take up too much room on my credenza.As for the company that makes them? First off, they are made here in this country with the type of craftsmanship that you rarely see anymore. These are hand made by people who care about their product. It shows in every detail.Also their customer support was next level. When I originally got my order, it seems that amazon had sent me a returned and mismatched box. I called up amazon and they weren't a ton of help so I called Orb directly and immediately got the boss of the company on the phone. He was super helpful. As it turned out, I was only a short drive away from where they make the speakers, and I just drove over and met the owner of the company and he gave me the parts himself. AFTER BUSINESS HOURS! Good luck finding another company in America who will do that, let alone a cheap-o overseas company.tl;dr: these are great speakers, made by an awesome company and worth every penny. Buy them. Your ears will thank you.

I was a bit hesitant to get this because of the relatively low power rating and cost. However, the sound is absolutely amazing and there's no way I need more power since I do live in an apartment. The construction of the equipment is top notch and I love how I can virtually hide the booster yet the speakers make a great focal point. I don't even have optical cable for my television so I had to use headphone cable and it's still very impressive. Have not music through it yet but I'm sure it will be great. The small subwoofer packs a surprising punch.

I was looking for a way to elevate the sound quality of my living room television and didn't want messy surround sound steps. I was initially looking into Soundbars and even ordered a couple - which I've returned. Soundbars were either huge and ugly, or for the more compact ones, the sound quality was far inferior to what my Samsung TV speakers could output. So my challenge was to find a "sound bard" or speaker setup for my TV that was both stylish and yet, had great quality sound.I'm so happy I found the Orb "Soundbar" alternative. It's an extremely beautiful speaker system that has a very high-end vibe. Looks great with my minimalistic home theater decor. The sound quality is also awesome, both for movies and when streaming music via Chromcast. Highly recommended!

This is an outstanding product that performs exactly as advertised! Quality of construction is above and beyond expectation - form, fit, finish, connections and sound is pure audiophile quality! Customer service is excellent - very responsive, articulate, helpful and focused on satisfying customers' questions in layman's language! Cannot imagine better product or customer service at any cost, much less at their very competitive pricing! Dialog enhancement is superb - accentuates voice frequency while dampening sound track / music / noise to permit soft spoken (whispered) dialog to be easily understood. Obviously not intended or capable of equalizing volume of programming for instances of increased overall volume as may apply to commercials or intended very loud segments of programs, e.g. gunshots, shouted dialog or intended very loud sound track.

A really nice clean looking audio system! Very nice that it also includes all the cables needed.Pros:-Far exceeded my expectations for sound at this level of decor and price point.-Arrived with very protective and smart packaging.-Customer service answered my question within hours (I asked them if the Klipsch WA-2 wireless subwoofer adapter is what they recommend; it is)-Beautiful sound!-Simple controls and a good remote.-Supplied cables are of good quality.-Looks great!-Takes up very little space with such a small footprint.-I don't notice it is there (that is a good thing) aside from the great rich audio.Cons:-Wished they would have made it with an integrated wireless subwoofer transmitter. Not a huge deal, but would have had no issue paying a little more for this feature.

A great sounding alternative to a soundbar, super stereo separation (no surprise), great bass from the unobtrusive woofer; the included amplifier sounds super linear, clear, and distortion free, I'm guessing it is a T-amp but Orb does not provide much information about the amp's design.Amp supports optical sp/dif and in fact, Orb provides high quality cables for optical and speaker connections, a nice plus.I have high quality 5.1 surround system in another room; we really don't miss the surround at all when listening to the Orbs, just great presence, clarity, soundstage, and a super value.
