Review: Little nodes on both sides - The little nodes are on both sides and I would have preferred them just on one side. You kind of need a rice spoon like this if you plan on removing plain rice from cast iron pots. The nodes are useful for making sushi rice, but not for regular rice scooping. Issue being, is that the nodes are a tiny bit too raised and rice gets caught in-between. Nothing that stopped me from keeping the product though.

**Q: What is so special for rice .**
A: You can get a good amount of rice in one scoop without the rice falling off the spoon and then it releases well too.  And I like the look of it.  Very handsome.

**Q: Stipple is it worth the extra price**
A: I think it is.  It's very practical and good looking.

**Q: Will the Staub rice paddle scratch the inner non-stick surface of the zojirushi rice cooker?**
A: It shouldn’t scratch. The silicone coating makes it scratch resistant. It’s very well made & pan friendly!

**Q: Is it Dishwasher safe ?**
A: This item should only be hand washed, never placed into the dishwasher. This is because of the wood handle
