Traditional Games Chess Set ~ Traditional Glass Chess Game

We received this earlier then expected and was really happy when I came. My partner opened it and was disappointed. The chess board itself wasn’t printed correctly on the glass so meant that it wasn’t straight it was slanted. Some of the piece we got where chipped and looked kinda old like it had been sitting somewhere for a while. The seller got back in contact very quickly all respect to them sent them the pictures then heard nothing back from them. We’re looking into another chess set as this one was very disappointing.

Product it self was as described but the box was in a state when delivered and that was inside packaging so wasn’t post fault. As it was a present this was embarrassing but luckily the recipient was happy with content. Really shouldn’t send out damaged boxes unless customers has paid less for it and informed first !

This was a surprise present for my brother who is a major chess nerd, he had a chess competition coming up so I thought it’s time he has a chess board to make heads turn. It looked so sophisticated on the image but it was tiny and the frosted pieces weren’t how I was expecting it to me. May as well have been plastic. But all of that would’ve been okay if placed against a dark table or carpet but the chipped pieces was really dissapointing. I hadn’t contacted the retailer as I hate online shopping and returns as it is and this just added it. I don’t believe it was done intentionally but it’s just a shame we got a bad box.

This chess set is good but I have to agree with other reviews in terms of the quality. One of the pieces is chipped and there are a lot of scratches on the board. This chess set comes with a sheet of felt bases which you'll need to stick onto each piece, which is fine. However these felt bases are not that sticky and do not stick to the chess pieces at all. Overall, the product is fine but needs some improves in terms of quality.

A few marks and scratches on the pieces, slightly uneven bases on the pieces so they wobble/move if table bumped and as everyone has already stated, the sticky base felt just doesn't stick to the glass.
