The Reflektor Tapes is a visually stunning and hypnotic documentary about the making of Arcade Fire's hugely successful 2013 studio album Reflektor by director Kahlil Joseph (who also directed Beyoncรฉ's Lemonade film). The film received it's premiere at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. The documentary captures recording sessions, live performances and the band's time in Haiti, a country with which they have a long-standing relationship. The second disc in the set features Arcade Fire's full length live concert from Earl's Court in London on June 6th, 2014 during the Reflektor tour, which perfectly complements the documentary.

Love Khalil Josephโs aesthetic
Super dope with an unorthodox style of documentary.

Excellent concert!
This is only for the concert, I have not watched the documentary. Blu-ray version. It's doesn't get much better than this. The sound is excellent video crisp. If your a fan of the band essential... period. If your a sound freak and the band would be someone you might enjoy... highly recommended. But I think from the stand point of surround this may be essential also. I think they were out to out do LCD Soundsystem Blu-ray Concert which is excellent too. I might go as far as sound this is up there with Stop making sense for sound...... really it's that good.So 5 freakin stars for a fantastic concert! Come on Twenty One Pilots you can match it.... Blu-ray Concert Blu-ray Concert.... Blurryface Live!!!!we can hope.... right! have fun!

Get it for the 4.5 star concert disc, forget about the 1.5 star "documentary".
Let's concentrate on the good: The full-length concert film. I've been waiting for a good concert film from Arcade Fire for a long, long time, and I'm not disappointed. Although the editing is a way too hyper for big sections of it, not allowing the viewer to just sit and *look* at anything for any length of time, overall it looks great, sounds amazing, and really captures the huge energy of an Arcade Fire show. I finished watching this feeling almost as charged up as I did when I saw this tour myself. The "main feature", disc 1, The Reflektor Tapes? Oh God, what a slog. An incoherent mess. It's an abstract collage of sights and sounds and brief clips of interviews that offers almost no insight and simply teases you with bits of songs and sights that would be worth experiencing if the director would just let you listen or watch.

Brilliant!
This is a fantastic Blu-ray set. The Reflektor Tapes documentary is a fun, emotional and unique look into the recording process of the Reflektor album. I saw it in the movies and have wanted to see it again since then so I was excited they finally released it on blu-ray. On top of that the second disc, the live concert at Earls Court, is absolutely incredible. A must own for any Arcade Fire fan!

great sound and footage
I would give this six stars if I could. The concert is tremendous, great sound and footage. I bought this mainly for the concert but the movie is a fun bonus, showing some insights into one of the greatest bands around.

Four Stars
An interesting "behind the scenes" journey with tons of live music, band history and interviews with band members.

Excellent Arcade Fire experience.
One of the discs on this product is a wonderful full Arcade Fire concert. It, alone, would make this worthwhile. The other disc is an essay showing the creation of Reflektor. A must for any Arcade Fire fan.
