Hilarious!🤣
I loved The Commentary from the narrator! This book is hilarious! Yet it manages to deliver the same thrills and chills from the movie

Now I Have Read This
and the question that you, Constant Reader, want answered is...WHY???Well, first of all, I have always loved the movie. Mostly because of John Reynolds' masterful portrayal of Torgo, the Caretaker of this desolate den of horror where most of the action (I use the word "action" quite wrongly) takes place. As Mr. Sullivan notes in his afterword John Reynolds is to MANOS what Dwight Frye was to the 1931 film version of DRACULA.But I am not here to discuss MANOS the motion picture... I am here to review Mr. Sullivan's novelization of that historic production. And that creates a problem. You see, I have been email friends with him ever since he co-hosted a podcast with Linda Godfrey of BEAST OF BRAY ROAD fame and I am very fond of him. This being so you will realize I would have a difficult time saying anything negative about this book.Fortunately, that isn't an issue. This is the PERFECT companion to the movie given us by the late, great Hal Warren. who makes Ed Wood look like Cecil B. deMille. You will definitely want to add this book to your library if you be a Friend of the Master and a devotee of Manos.Do it for Torgo...Do it for Little Debbje...Do it for the Master's Demon Hound...But most of all...do it for yourself...you will be laughing for days. 😂(And don't forget the Companion Book: MANOS, THE TALONS OF FATE.In a world where MANOS, THE HANDS OF FATE was written by Good Writer and turned REALLY frightening Little Debbie and her parents don't realize that they have not arrived at their Vacation Destination.Only their Final Destination....

If you have see the movie, you must read this book!
Having seen the movie that this novel is based upon, I was curious as to how this book would read. I found this novelization to be vastly more entertaining than the movie! What makes this book so fun, is that the writer has a "narrator" who describes the scenes, as well as keeping up a humorous, running commentary throughout. This book had me laughing out loud frequently. I think I actually snorted when I read this line: "Shari, also short of breath despite being undead, nods." Anyone who has seen the movie, should read this book.

Manos beautifully realized
This is the novelization of the movie that I didn't realize I wanted. The author does a fantastic job of both revering the source material while giving it the irreverence it deserves. The narrator has a beautiful Snark that reminds me of Joe Bob Briggs at his best. I am anxious to find his scary version, Manos: Talons of Fate. If you are a Follower of Manos, this is the gospel.

Enjoy "Manos" again.
If you are a fan of the movie this is a great book. It will let you enjoy the insanity of "Manos" again. The author shows his love of the movie and takes the reader along for the ride!

Not funny
Maybe I should have read a sample first but the tone totally isn't what I expected. The smarmy omniscient narrator isn't amusing at all. Page after page of 'wasn't this movie so baaaad' and 'weren't the 60s weiiirrrdddd'.

Too much fun, having a sinister narrator walk you through this ...
Too much fun, having a sinister narrator walk you through this story! Sullivan pulls no punches in delivering the comedic side of this cult classic. Fits the film like a glove!
