The puppet itself is fully poseable so you can pose the arms and legs however you want. The one thing I wished for that this product doesn't offer was fully poseable fingers. In this case, the hands are fixed in position. If you want to pose the puppet holding an item, therefore, you'll have to get a little creative (though it's certainly do-able). I can't say enough good about the quality of construction for the price. Right out of the box, he looked good. A couple little tweaks had him looking great. In particular, the hair required a bit of brushing and the lapel on his jacket required some gentle repositioning (ironing would have been best, though I feared damaging the prop, so I made do with some gentle coaxing back into position). If you don't want to do these minor caretaking duties, you'll still have a good prop, but I'd recommend taking the time to really make it shine.
