Before you buy, READ!
Received my laces in the mail August 2nd, 2017. I installed them immediately in my boots. Today is September 9th, 2017. THEY ARE FRAYING AT THE EYELETS AND ONE HAS ALREADY BROKE.The ferrocerium lace ends have rubber covers that fall off if u don't tape them. & one of those has broke off (see pictures)

Don't do it.
The paracord is sturdy and the strikers are well constructed along with the Flints BUT The way they are attached are complete garbage the inside of the para cord is burnt to try to create a plug against a small opening at the other end of the Flint. The first time I put these on and was moving the laces up to get enough slack to tie, The Flint end just popped off of my hand. there is no way to reattach dish to reinstall it making it completely useless. Imagine if this actually happened in a situation where you were depending on these.
