completely revitalized my picnic table and benches
This is probably the best teak oil I've ever bought. Last year, I got some after seeing Minwax brand recommended over others, and I can see why. I thought I'd bought enough to do the job, but ran out around the 75 percent mark and just got whatever brand was available at my local store. That oil didn't even compare. This one coated better, easier coverage, and left the table in great shape to withstand any weather. This year, I was prepared and bought ONLY this brand and plan on sticking with the quality item so it takes care of my outdoor furniture and keeps it nice for many more years.

Even my wife likes it.
I used this on a new teak bench and the result was wonderful. Even my wife thought it looked good, and she is the most critical judge I know.

Restored my 1971 Boat Teak to look like new.
We just purchased a 1971 Tanzer sailboat. Although stored in a barn for some years, the teak wood was looking and feeling rough to the touch, as well as badly faded. I wanted a smooth surface on the teak even though the can states that sanding isn't required. I used 180 grit sandpaper on a small electric dual-action sander until the surface had a smooth, uniform appearance. Then, I blew it off with compressed air. I used a 1.5" disposable chip-brush to apply. It may drip since you apply this stuff really wet so it can soak in, so put something under your work. I allowed the first very wet coat to "soak" exactly seven minutes. Then, I applied a second very wet coat, and I wiped it off at fifteen minutes. Don't leave it on for more that 30 minutes, because this stuff starts to dry or "cure" after 20 minutes. I'm not sure which it is. I really wish I took some "before" photos. The difference is night and day. Hope this helps.

Much better than the high rated stuff
I did a lot of research and all the experts said to use cetol. I used it on the lounge chairs I built with $600 worth of exotic tropical wood. Put it on according to directions and was very disappointed with the discoloration it caused. It turned my beautiful wood a sickly yellow. In 6 months it was flaking and my beautiful wood was all mottled where this stuff had flaked off. I sanded it all down to bare wood, which was a big job. I got a can of the cheapest teak oil that Lowe's sold and put it on with no additional prep. A year later it still held it’s color and was just starting to wear thin in spots. Lowes no longer carries this minwax product and wouldn't order more. Luckily I found this here on Amazon to give my lounge another coat after a year that the instructions say to do. Stay away from what the experts say and use this. It is much higher quality and 1/3 the price.

Patio Perfection in a Bottle
I used MW Helmsman Teak Oil on my new teak patio table, and wow—what a transformation. The wood soaked it up beautifully, bringing out that rich, golden tone that makes teak so stunning. It looks amazing now, like something out of a design magazine. Application was a breeze. No mess, no fuss—just wipe it on and let it work its magic. If you want your outdoor furniture to shine and stay protected, this teak oil is a must-have.

Horrible smell, and tacky on the touch.
Horrible smell to chemically. It gave me headache. I applied on my teak table and regretted it. It is not natural at all.
