Electric Gooseneck Kettle, Great for Pour Over Coffee and Tea - STRIX Control (made in the UK) - Stainless Steel 1L. Water Kettle

It's a good kettle. But has had some issues now after owning for a handful of months. I ordered in April, about 6 months ago now. The top of the kettle no longer shuts all the way and the auto off no longer works. It will just keep boiling till you shut it off manually. It had worked fine until now, unfortunate that it doesn't have longevity.

I have owned a number of electric kettles. I bought this one for the spout, which has been great. The drawbacks are that it is not as fast as previous clunkers, and that condensation from the lid leaks onto the counter top when you pour unless you open the lid. I am happy with it because it looks great and the lid opens and closes so easily and quietly. Easy to fill, too. Shuts off quickly when boiling starts. I recommend it.

Update: The auto shut off no longer works, after 3 months. Will contact seller to see if we can replace. IThe kettle heats water quickly and appears very safe. The gooseneck spout is excellent for pour over coffee!

I have had this kettle for a little over a week and so far so good. There are no leaks, rust, or any problems. I use this for pour over coffee at work. I also have the temperature control Bonavita 1.0L and feel like I can give a comparison to it. The first thing you'll notice about this kettle is it seems to have better pour control over the Bonavita.Pour Control:The Yitelle spout is shaped slightly differently (angle down just a bit) which I think is the reason that is has better control. Due to water control being paramount with poor over coffee, I have started liking this kettle over the Bonavita.Sound:This is noticeably quieter than the Bonavita, which is a plus at an office.Temperature:It take this kettle a little over 5 minutes to boil, and just a bit longer to get down to 205. I'll time the Bonavita for comparison and add an update. I use a external thermometer to know when the water is just right for pour over.Feel:The kettle feels a little heaver due to the shape of the handle, but I feel the pour control makes this a nonissue.Bonus Feature:The  Kalita Wave Dripper 185 3-4 people for # 05033 (japan import)  fits perfectly upside down on the top. This works pefrect to heat it up before the pour. I really like being able to do this, as it works much better at my desk. See the picture.

Loved the product for the first couple of weeks. Then we noticed a couple of problems. 1/ the top of the kettle that you open to fill with water was not opening easily. The problem is getting worse and worse, so that now we have having to find some way to pry it open. Perhaps as a result of this top issue the water heats up to the point of a rapid boil. This shouldn't be happening. The unit should be an auto shut-off when the water is ready, but we have been having to manually turn it off.

Works well as both regular kettle and for pour-over coffee/tea. It feels well made and works as intended. I have large hands so appreciate the robust handle. For the BPA obsessed, there is plastic inside but not below the water level, I'm pretty sure the titanium dioxide in your suncream or the butylated hydroxyanisole in pretty much everything else is going to get you first. It's not the fastest to boil (c.4-5 mins for a full litre), but quicker than our old stove top.

This is one fabulous kettle. I've used it for a while now, and it really surpasses my expectation. It's really user friendly and easy to hold. The gooseneck gives perfect precision to my coffee experience, and the water stays hot for a long time in the kettle. Above all, this kettle cooks the water up super fast!I also love the way it feels in hand, very light, easy to lift, and pours perfect, got item because all the inside is stainless steal and no plastic heating up with water, there is a cord wrap area under base to have cord long or short as needed, heats very fast and love how its so quiet while heating, I have had other manufacturers products in past that were very loud when heating water, water heats at perfect temperature for tea and coffee, also there is not a lot of steam escape from lid when heating which is wonderful if its under a raised cabinet. Over all i would give it a 10 star at this time, have had for a month and use it every day once or twice.

I bought this kettle a year ago. The lid had a design weakness. Two small plastic hinges are used. They have broken after a year so the lid won't open using the button and it takes multiple attempts to close it. It doesn't form a proper seal so is fairly dangerous. I contacted the vendor Yitelle as the product has a three year warranty, but have had no reply whatsoever. I'd expect a kettle to last more than 12 months. It looks great but is not well built at all.

Esta muy buena calidad a un buen precio, calienta rápido, perfecta para preparar café de forma artesanal, lo malo es que no puedes regular la temperatura.
