So, I normally don't have very many negative things to say about products I order from Amazon...and I'm not going to lambaste the site for it. But, I was a little put off by what came out of the packaging. It arrived in a padded envelope like most small to medium sized products, and it was sealed in a sturdyish plastic cellophane wrap. Once I removed the wrapping, I felt something hit my leg, and as I inspected the book, I was immediately surprised at the obvious aging and wear on it...almost as if it was previously owned and in terrible shape. At the very least, the locking hinge was rusted to literal pieces and broken beyond repair. The inner leather casing looked to be water damaged or at least severely worn from repeated use and there are imprints of what look to be the hinge itself depressed through several of the pages. The pages themselves aren't torn, but seem really worn like it's one of the older books in a library.While I'm not "mad" as I can still somewhat salvage this for the prop idea I was going to use it for, needless to say, I'm severely disappointed in this purchase. I bought something as NEW so I expected NEW...not antiquated and falling apart.
