This is some serious stuff.
if you are looking for something that will keep your 'stache in tight order, look no further. This stuff is VERY tacky, it almost has the feeling of pine tar on your fingers. I have pulled out some of my upper lip fur more than once while applying! I have found that I don't like to use this every day, but more as a 'nuclear option' when my mustache is being particularly difficult hence the 4 stars. The smell is fairly heavy and will make you feel as if you are in the Oregon back woods, with axe and chainsaw in hand on a crisp autumn day; that is to say that it has a musky pine smell.I would recommend it to anyone whose beard and mustache can sometimes just be a crazy pain sometimes.

I LIKE THE HOLD, NOT THE COLOR!
Hello Fellow Moustachiers! I actually would like to give this product a 4.5 STAR but contrary to some reports, it does not look well on gray/white hair. Here's a bit of comment I added for another chap..."Don't know if you've had a chance to try this or not yet but I thought I'd jump in to comment that it does have too much brown in it. I have a salt/pepper beard moustache and beard. Technically, even in real black pepper from the shaker, there is quite a bit of brown. I found this made my moustache look "stained" in comparison to the rest of my predominantly white/gray facial hair. I have just purchased another "clear" "firm" wax which I hope will do the trick with a more natural look. I want the hold, not the color. Sadly, this looked even worse as I attempted to twist my handlebars into sharper points? It had the look of a woman who has dyed her hair but then just let it go....darkish brown/black on the tips but gray roots! UGH! Good stuff but BEST suited to those who have dark hair, period. Best wishes!" Good product but for dark hair.

This is the strongest holding mustache wax I’ve used to date. It is a bit stiff and needs some heating up with a hair dryer to use more easily, however compared to all other mustache waxes I have and have tried in the past, this does have the best hold. It’s smell is just okay (it has a bit of a strange odor, but not unpleasant and not strong, so it is completely bearable. I suspect it is just the wax’s natural aroma, nothing added to it. Also, it has a dark color, which is perfect for me since I have dark brown hair, so it blends in nicely and may even mask a bit of the few Grey hairs I have in my mustache. I am going to try another wax by this brand now also for the days when I want less of a hold (this particular one is perfect for a defined handlebar mustache with tight curls, but some days I prefer a softer more natural look, but still need a lighter wax to keep it in place and out of my mouth! )

I don't have a mustache, but this stuff does wonders for my darts.
I have tried everything I can think of to improve my grip on darts. Dart wax did not work at all. That is just hardened, solid beeswax; the same stuff they sell in hardware stores to coat wood screws with to make them easier to drive into boards. It doesn't work for that either. I tried coating my fingers with liquid latex rubber. That didn't work. I tried bowstring wax with good results, but that stuff is too hard to apply. I tried pine tar with mixed results: it goes on easily enough but too much is too sticky and in any case it dries out too soon. Next I tried cold water surf board wax: finally I found something that worked great! I used it for a few days until this mustache wax was delivered. WOW! This is it! I do not believe anything in the world would work better as dart wax than this mustache wax. It is absolutely perfect. You don't have to use much on the one hand, but it is almost impossible to apply too much on the other. And once applied it lasts much longer than any of the other products. This is an excellent product and can probably be used for all kinds of things that could benefit from the judicious application of a little wax.

Didn't work for me
I have not used other moustache waxes before, this is my first. So take my review with that in mind. I was fairly surprised at how briefly this held my moustache in place. It works for only a short while before the hairs are tickling my lip again. My lip hairs grow straight down (is that true for everyone?) and I wanted to comb them side-wards and hold them in place with something. I tried hair gel but it felt weird and didn't work before thinking to try a wax. I've been fairly unimpressed with my experience so far. The only reason I'm not giving it 2 stars is that I have nothing else to compare it to since I've never used a moustache wax before. I want to find something that works and I just have to believe that there is something that will work. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. I would not buy this again.

Pay NO attention to the bad reviews!..... GOOD STUFF!
I don't know how the people that write the bad reviews get dressed by themselves everyday, one of biggest complaints was can't get it out of the can because it's to hard......WhaaaaaaaaIf you need to take a look at the attached video, it's really not to difficult, unless you're below average intelligence!Only complaint: Price....$pendy.... But effective. Not the hold the manufacturer boast, however better than most, as expected additional application is required throughout the day, depending upon the temp.Buy with confidence.

Perhaps a good product for particular customers, but definitely not for me.
The product I received has an extremely unpleasant and persistent aroma. Perhaps it was a bad batch as others really seem to like it. The hold is good, but it's very hard and somewhat difficult to work with. I'll find another product that fits my needs better.

I don't like to leave negative reviews
Okay, I don't like to leave negative reviews, and I usually shall avoid doing so, I have an unruly moustache, and I am trying to let it grow in for the second time (instead of clipping it at my lip line), so I need very strong hold. I tried Firehouse as it looked like the strongest hold, and was unscented - I detest scents right under my nose. It works excellently, and as advertising. The biggest drawback was the color. I am starting to get grey in my beard and moustache, and this wax looks black in the tin, and goes on with a funny brownish color which is definitely off from the rest of my beard. I wanted to like this. I have returned to Lucky Franc's which also is very strong hold, and unscented.
