New Replacement Apple tv Remote Control for Apple TV 1 2 3 4 A1842/A1625/A1469/A1427/A1378/A1218/A1156 (Made from Plastic not Original)

Works well and right out of the box with my old apple tv 2 box.

Put the battery in, pointed it at the Apple TV and it worked. Yes it’s just plastic but nothing more needed. No need to buy a more expensive remote than this one.

This is shockingly cheap material. I've bought higher quality items from the dollar store. There is no instructions or battery included, nor does it have volume control on the remote. However, it does work for maneuvering and selecting on the apple tv, just pointed and it linked automatically. Less annoying than constantly using my phone as a remote.Update: Changed to one star because oh my Lord, this remote is dreadful. It only works about 4 feet in front of the apple TV, any further and it just doesn't work.

These feel really cheap, but they do work (once you get a battery). Just be careful how the battery slides in between the two prongs. If you just need one I would get the real Apple one. If you live in a house where children place them in cereal bowls and dogs bury them in the yard, then a few of these for the same price sort of makes sense.

I am happy with my Apple TV remote control. It works just fine and I am pleased.😊

First, this remote works but I’m only giving this three stars for a couple reasons. One reason for taking away a star: No instructions. I did find them and pairing was much easier than expected. Just had to get close and hold down the menu button with device on. The second star was because the remote only works in very close proximity, like three feet, so I have to get out of bed just to change the channel. Otherwise this works good. Without it, my device was useless. Price was also great and I didn’t care about having to buy a battery. I had some on hand and they are cheap on Amazon.

It was delivered the next day it works well but I do recommend enclosed a battery with it.

Unfortunately, my original order was never shipped days after the order even though I had a shipping number. Spoke to a manager and he resolved the problem. Shipped a 2nd remote and recieved it the next day. Good catch. As for the remote, it worked right out of the box. I was very happy to have a working remote for my older Apple TV. 3 days later, I received the 2nd remote. Since I had two Apple TV's with no remote, and was happy with this replacement product, I decided to keep the 2nd remote. My biggest disappointment was the fact that a shipping number was created and according to UPSP, they were never notified to pick up the item until I called to complain.Creating shipping numbers without an item being picked up is the main cause of this issue.

Ensure the model number if it matches then this remote will work perfectly.
