The product itself is packaged very well. If you use it properly, you will never have any missing pieces because everything has its place. I planned an entire homeschooling day and used this as a supplement to the Science class. My son and I did the banana dna experiment...that was a lot of fun. It was great to see how we could extract the dna of a fruit by following the simple steps in the book. There are other experiments and of course the lessons on dna etc. This is definitely a great tool for helping anyone who is dna challenged understand how it works. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to have fun with Science.

By the time your child has put it together, she will know the names of the four the nitrogen bases (and no, I had no idea what that was before we started this kit), then do the replication exercise, then do the experiments in order. Everything builds on the exercise before it. All you need is some denatured alcohol, a piece of fruit, a coffee filter, this kit and Google. By the time you are finished, your kid (and you), won't be doing genetic research, but you will have a much better understanding of DNA.

I purchased this product for its experiments. The product itself arrived before his first day off from school which was great timing. The product itself is packaged very well.
