An absolute disappointment
First off, let's look at the deck list for this deck:Planeswalker (1)1 Ajani, Valiant ProtectorCreature (21)2 Narnam Renegade2 Verdant Automaton3 Ajani's Comrade3 Audacious Infiltrator1 Ghirapur Guide2 Silkweaver Elite1 Deadeye Harpooner1 Solemn Recruit2 Armorcraft Judge2 Lifecraft Cavalry1 Ridgescale Tusker1 Airdrop AeronautsSorcery (6)1 Prey Upon4 Inspiring Roar1 Engineered MightInstant (1)1 Natural ObsolescenceArtifact (4)3 Renegade Map1 Daredevil DragsterEnchantment (5)2 Unbridled Growth2 Ajani's Aid1 Aid from the CowlLand (22)4 Tranquil Expanse9 Forest9 PlainsI absolutely did not like this deck. Was very excited for it and it ended up so disappointing. This is an Ajani deck. Ajani is known for his life gain and life gain synergies. This deck has one, ONLY ONE card with any form of life gain whatsoever. Everything else revolves around the not so new revolt mechanic and +1/+1 counters. It has okay synergy, but the deck barely provides you with any decent cards. Not a single one of these would I consider top tier. Granted it's meant for beginners, but I find this deck wouldn't be so great for beginners either as several cards only have one or two copies in this deck. Very few cards have 3 or more copies, and that's a bit of a hindrance to the deck. It would have been better to just have two copies of each card in it instead. In short, the deck needs some fixing. Unlike the Chandraa and Nissa decks from the Kaladesh set, this deck would definitely need a bit of reconstructing. So either you need to buy more packs than the two boosters provided, or you should look into getting singles if you want this deck. Then again I'm betting you could just buy all of the cards in the deck plus both Ajani cards in the Aether Revolt set and make this deck yourself for either a cheaper price or for much better value. My advice? Don't buy this deck. The two booster packs barely justify the price of it and you can easily buy the cards you want/need in this deck and use those cards to make a far superior deck without buying the useless ones that're of no value anyway. Even the deck box that comes with it can be bought super cheap online. I love Ajani, but this deck is less than fantastic. As you can tell from the decklist I posted above, it does have mediocre (better than awful) synergies and can be used effectively if reconstructed a bit. Maybe remove the artifacts and some of the less useful cards and add some lifegain. Either way, this should not be an Ajani deck with only one card for life gain. It's almost as if WotC threw that card in there last minute because they had forgotten than an Ajani deck should be all about life gain. How does it play? Well, I tested it against several of my other decks and some friends' decks. It doesn't perform bad, actually. It can certainly pick up some wins, but you sometimes have to play pretty risky by letting yourself lose creatures you may want to keep and it can bite you in the ass.

I love this deck
So I'm only doing this review to compliment how amazing this deck is. I've never done one before. First so all I got this deck, sleaved it as it is, then played it in a 3 player match...it did amazing, even though I didn't win (the decks I played against were veterened decks though). This deck did everything I expected, by the 4th turn I had 3 decent creatures on the field. The o ly complaint I have is that this deck doesn't have as much life gain as I expected with an Ajani deck, but it can be fixed. I actually bought this deck at the same time I bought the Ajani/Tezzeret decks...but this one came in first. I plan to buy a 3rd Ajani deck and put all of them together.

its also fun for those of us trying to take a break ...
i collected all of these planeswalker decks for the newer players that come over. its also fun for those of us trying to take a break from the competitive scene. i say get the battle decks from card kingdom if you want an actual game, but this is doable, for sure. as far as differences, this deck took on three malfunctions and kept on churning creatures out hahaha that was fun.

Don't buy
You would be an absolute lunatic to pay $100 for a deck this poorly built. This Ajani is one of the worst, and for this kind of price, you could get a full playset of a better planeswalker or any kind of good card really.
