It will keep your documents/rolled objects from getting damaged during transport, but it is not waterproof/water tight.The tube length is adjustable, but it is not extremely secure. It twists in the same fashion as taking the cap off and does not lock tightly. It loosens when taking the cap off.I do not use this for anything valuable or easily damaged, just a gaming mat.
