Thunderhead - TH2.5 - High Pressure Rain Shower Head - White - Large, 2 pack

I had purchased one of these Thunderhead shower heads for a previous home where I had a small shower stall. I bought my previous Thunderhead at a home and garden show, where I paid about double the Amazon price. Even at nearly double the price, I had been thrilled with the performance of the Thunderhead shower head. It is really excellent for using in a narrow shower stall, since it enables you to position the shower head to give you a stream of water straight down, instead of being angled. We have since sold that home (I hope the new owners like the Thunderhead as much as I did!). Now we're staying at our Arizona vacation property where we have only one bathroom. To avoid the problem of each of us adjusting the shower head differently (I'm 5'3" and my husband is 6'2"), I looked online to see if I could find the Thunderhead shower head again -- and I was extremely excited to see it available through Amazon. It was such a reasonable price on Amazon that I bought two -- one for the vacation property where we're currently staying, and the second one to install later on in the small shower stall of our new house. My husband installed the Thunderhead in the bathroom of our vacation property in less than 5 minutes. The white plumbing tape was even provided in the Thunderhead package. Now neither of us ever has to adjust the shower head -- no more getting scalded because someone moved the shower head to a different position! I love this product!

I think this rain shower head may be the best plastic head available, and I consider the best value under $50 per head that I've been able to find.Pros:- Smooth water delivery across the entire head makes for a very comfortable shower without the typical mix of hard and soft jets- Built in adjustable neck can help raise the head for a tall person (we still needed a shower neck extender to get ours high enough to add an inline water filter as well)- It's a matte white, so hard water won't make it look awful like a "chrome-look" plastic will if you live in San Jose, CACons:- The water induction, or whatever makes the water delivery so smooth also means there is a flow delay of a second or two - so don't change the water temperature too quickly, or you'll have a rude surprise (it will be hotter or colder than you want). Once you dial in the temperature, it's fine.- The plastic threads in the female end of the unit are quite short and the plastic is very soft. If you don't do anything more than mount the shower head to the wall pipe and then leave it alone, this won't matter. I like to use an inline water filter, however, so I need to be able to unscrew the shower head periodically. I found that I needed to mate the end of the unit with a male/male brass pipe coupling to have enough hard thread to add my inline water filter before the shower head. I do think Thunderhead should modify their design, and either add metal threads, or have a harder plastic insert, since the soft plastic threads could be stripped very easily, ruining this otherwise excellent product.- It can be tricky to remove the flow restrictor without gouging the plastic.

This was the best price I've ever seen for this item. Purchased my first one in Canada for $100.00 at a home show. (They are made in Calgary) Even in Phoenix, as they were $100.00 USD at the home and garden show. I love the way this shower pours water on you like a rainfall. I've purchased several different types of shower heads over the years and nothing has come close to the shower from the thunderhead.

Very nice shower head, especially with the water pressure making the showers more enjoyable rather than pelted with hard water. It is very easy to install and no tools required, except for removing the older shower head. Easy to clear clogs in the individual nipples by squeezing them and allowing the blockage to clear up.

LOVE this shower head does tend to droop after a while tho....

There is a lot of water that comes out. The pressure isn't there, but the volume of water makes it easy to rinse my mid-back length hair without any problems.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome shower. Not as heavy a flow as the orginals (since the Gov't got involved), but still nice none the less.

Absolutely love this shower head, just the right size to give a fill coverage , and the water saver makes the hot water last so much longer.It's Great!
