The Exceptional Clear Silicone Makeup Sponge

This product was supposed to be the new and upcoming way of applying foundation, but honestly I dont really care for it. It does preserve foundation, because unlike the beauty blenders, it doesn't soak up all the makeup. I will continue to use my beauty blenders thought because this product does not really smooth in the makeup or apply evenly. In conclusion, its ok, but not my first choice, I will be going back to beauty blenders.

It did make a tiny dollop of makeup spread to my whole face, but virtually no way to blend anything, left streaks. I'll keep practicing to try to get a good finish with it, but basically I had to go back with a wet sponge to smooth it out, which defeats the purpose.

The SiliSponge is wonderful! I have sensitive skin and using a makeup brush was causing my eczema to flare. The SiliSponge did not irritate my skin at ALL. Another wonderful benefit, no unsightly brush strokes that I experienced with my pervious makeup brush. I end up using less foundation on my skin and no waste, as no makeup is transferred to the SiliSponge. It is easy to use and manipulate where you want the makeup applied. Since the SiliSponge can be washed with warm water and soap, I am no longer worried about possible bacteria buildup from a makeup brush. The price cannot be beat; great gift idea. I only wish I had one earlier.

It does what it says it does....I can totally put my foundation on with this without wasting any...but it feels unpleasant against my skin and it's not good for layering products. I use it but I ordered some beauty blenders as well.

This will take some getting used to. You can definitely see just how much foundation is wasted in a brush/beauty blender, but it takes a lot longer to blend in. It wasn't my favorite, but I am glad I tried it out. I honestly don't see myself using it again. I will stick with my brushes and beauty blender sponges.
