Works Well Enough for the Price
As others have pointed out, the biggest problem with this Bluetooth mouse is no on/off switch, leaving the thing to continually power-up if it's used as intended, i.e., carried and jostled around in a case, backpack, etc. This can be compensated for by removing the batteries completely or, as someone else suggested, reversing one of the batteries. In that regard, you don't even have to close the battery compartment completely to get it to operate. Simply dropping the cover without sliding it forward to lock will activate the device. So far, mine has worked okay. The only glitch I had was once pressing the 'connect' button after it had already paired with my smartphone. It continually tried to pair after that and I had to un-pair, then re-pair it for it to quit. There was one other troubling part which, although it doesn't seem to have had any effect, suggests a very poor quality control. When I got the mouse, it rattled. I opened the battery compartment and after some jiggling around, a couple of tiny screws fell out! It didn't rattle anymore and while I thought about taking it apart to see if something isn't secure, I figured I'd leave well enough alone and will wait until to see if it develops some other kind of issue. But for the current price of $13, well, it's about the cheapest Bluetooth mouse you can get that works with an Android device.

Read my review for tips on connecting. Works fine with my cheap $50 android tablet. (running Android 4.0)
I didn't have any problem installing batteries as mine came with instructions on how to do it.When your connecting it to your device, don't give up too quickly. It took me several attempts to pair with my android tablet. Once it did, it worked great.I'd like to offer some additional advice for use.First pairing:As stated above, when pairing, don't give up too quickly. Keep pushing the pair button if your mouse isn't detected. It may take several attempts to eventually see it.Subsequent pairings:To reconnect with an Android device, simply power on your device and then push the pair button on the mouse. Connection should reestablish almost immediately. Even though moving the mouse around seems to wake it up, I still have to push the pair button to re-establish the connection.I wish the mouse was a little bigger, but I can still use it as is no problem.Hope this helps.

You get what you pay for
Works ok but construction is of poor/low quality. Conflicts with other bluetooth devices when used simultaneously. (i.e. bluetooth keyboard) Does work better than the equally priced unit from HDE.

Mouse with nice feel and function has inconsistent Bluetooth connection
This mouse feels pretty good in my medium sized hand. If you squeeze the plastic side panels you hear some cheap plastic crackling sounds. Some have said it takes AA batteries but, of course, a mouse this size could only hold AAA batteries. The scroll wheel works smoothly and makes a decent middle button when needed (Ubuntu paste). It's very accurate in its default settings. Here's the bad news. The bluetooth will not stay connected for more than a few minutes, even in constant use. This occurs with Ubuntu, Chromebook, and Windows 7. It just kinda takes a breather randomly which is very frustrating for getting work done. Average distance from laptop BT, about 8 inches. Actually waking it up from true sleep mode is pretty easy by just clicking a mouse button. However, during the mouse "catch my breath" episodes, nothing wakes up the mouse. You just have to wait until it wants to start tracking again.

Highly Recommended for Tablet Users!
A great little mouse, works fine "out of the box". Makes a great accessory for any tablet!I haven't played with the DPI adjustments yet, since it just works. Two things that make it not a perfect 5-star:1) The battery lid is a little weird to get open. I can't even explain it - it is a combination of push down, pull out, push in, and it finally swings open. Using a little color to indicate which battery goes in + end first would also be nice (instead of just the embossed diagram).2) There should be an on-off switch, somewhere on the bottom. It goes to sleep after 10 minutes of idle time, but then a button push wakes it up... Too many times I have opened my computer bag after carrying it around for a day, only to see the red glow of the mouse, since it bumped into something & got a button push. I now carry it in its own little box, which I hope reduces the amount of bumping & accidental power-cycling.However, even with all the inadvertent power cycling, the original batteries are still running strong, after a month or more of fairly regular use.

Promising, but problematic
The good: It's small, comfortable, cute, easy to pair with Windows 7. When it works, it is great and frees up a USB port. The bad: There is no off/on switch, so I suspect batteries will drain in weeks instead of months. Why do manufacturers make wireless or Bluetooth mice without such a switch? That is stupid!Second, and worse, the mouse seems to turn off or lose connection very frequently and quite annoyingly. Mind you, this is even with configuring Windows 7 device manager to disallow turning off device to save power! It's a shame, because this is potentially very lovable. But with the mouse being so reliable that leaving it alone for 30 seconds means it will take 15 seconds to wake up makes it unusable, except for emergencies. Goodbye, little fellow...

Has no on/off switch, and holding down buttons randomly fails
Initially I loved this tiny inexpensive blue-tooth mouse -- feels great in my hand, and fits everywhere (shirt pocket, backpack, etc).HOWEVER: It has no off-switch! You'd think that was no big deal, but, when I put it away, it dutifully continues to send random mouse-movements to my laptop, from the backpack! There's no way to stop it except take out its batteries.FOLLOW UP AFTER 2 WEEKS' USE:Lowering to 2 stars because when you drag-and-drop, it "drops" randomly. Really irritating when you're trying to highlight an area, and it randomly stops before you're done.
