William Carries on New Edition

This book brings back childhood memories of lazy summers spent reading about the lovable rascal William and his numerous efforts of helping his family! As an adult today, when I am having a rough week, I dip into these tales to transport me a to a time when life was simpler! Always makes me smile, William's efforts at helping his brother win the heart of a damsel who has caught his current fancy. The spellings used by the outlaws makes me burst out in laughter.

Condition as described

Illustrations date this edition.For us the adventures are as funny as when we read them in 1936 but we doubt whether many present generation children would enjoy reading them themselves. We ordered the book after hearing the BBC4 readings recently
