This is a great product once you figure out how to put it ...
This is a great product once you figure out how to put it together. Quite possibly the worst assembly instructions ever. Step 1 in the instructions is actually more like step 20 - assumes you have already assembled the entire thing except the pivot joint. Pictures and terminology impossible to decipher. Only way to assemble is to look very closely at the IPB on the last page and trial and error. Nuts are welded on in several places and not perfectly aligned, so don't tighten anything until you get most of the hardware installed. I had to leave one bold out - impossible to get it aligned. Also, don't start until you inventory all the pieces (which is hard to do since you can only use a very blurry picture). I was missing a component and had to get a 2nd unit shipped. Once assembled (took me 4-5 hours and I'm a pretty handy guy), it's sturdy and works as advertised. I used it to cut a 9" diameter Viga beam (which is an inch bigger than recommended) with no problems.

OK Product; Instructions Need Improvement -- Update
6/23/17 -- OK, now that I've used it, it only seems fair to provide an update. Once you figure it out, this product works quite well. I was able to get it working with both my 18" clunker and the 16" version -- you just have to be patient with the alignment process and make sure the clamping mechanism is properly aligned. For a while, I was tipping the entire unit over on one end to refuel the saw, but then realized that that's what the cotter pin on the end of the pivot rod is for. Duh!Even with the larger chainsaw mounted, it's easy enough to carry the entire unit from the garage to the cutting area. I'm using it to cut down some firewood that was originally cut to 18+ inches down to 16", and it has already paid for itself. Now if only the manufacturer would write a better set of instructions . . .------------The device is much better than the instructions for putting it together, which are tiny, hard to decipher and would probably be better understood by an engineer than they were by me. As a result, some of the fasteners are in the wrong places, and I had to rack the frame out of square a bit to get some of them in. I finally succeeded in assembling it, after several days and a couple of false starts. I have not had a chance to saw with it yet, but can see how it would be helpful. I also found that a smaller, newer 16" saw and bar seemed to fit much better than my 18" clunker (both Stihl products), so maybe some mention ought to be made about the bar sizes it is specifically designed to fit. Also, there may be a bit of a problem with bar pinching with the smaller saw -- actual trials will have to determine that.

Unit good.....but......
Nice unit - once put together. Like other folks who bought it stated, the instruction manual is terrible. The company should be ashamed of that effort, especially since customers have pointed it out for some time now. Even a clear blow up of ALL the parts would be helpful. I've used the unit to take a couple of face cords of firewood that was too long for my wood burner and shorten them up to fit. Very good back saver! I would recommend the unit to people.

As it is useless. The saw horse itself is pretty good
Assembly manual, throw it away. As it is useless. The saw horse itself is pretty good. Sturdy. Small, but sturday. The chain saw holder, unless you have a very wide bar, this will not work. I have a Worx electric saw and the clamping mechanism is too large for my bar. Even though it is an 18" bar. The clamps being too large, caused the chain to come off, which is NOT good. But at least I can use the saw horse for smaller logs and it does it's purpose on that.

Have fun
Great product with the worst instructions ever. You have to just look at the photo and guess. Had to take it apart 3 times but I got it... After 2 hours!

Hours of frustration
Terrible instructions. As others have mentioned. The instructions for assembly are useless. Good luck trying to get this thing together. Mine came with missing bolts which complicated things even further.

Two Stars
Very difficult to assemble and instructions are lacking in clarity. Some parts never did figure out how to assemble.
