Good, works just fine.

I have a multi-cat household where we use generic lighter-weight clumping litter. I have bad pain in my elbows and wrists, and a family member has a bad back. So, I have been trying to find something that would be both lightweight, sturdy, and long enough where it could be used for scooping while sitting down. The Sand Ripper met all those requirements with flying colors! I don't understand the negative reviews, since it worked very well for us both. It's easy to put together, sturdy, but yet not tiring to hold. Yes, the scoop is round, but held ~4 large clumps of used litter with each scoop. (This is not used kitten litter I'm talking about, we have a few 20-pounders we're "owned" by.) It also scraped away those nasty wet clumps that tend to hide underneath the dry litter, "glued" to the bottom of the pan. No problems with it pulling apart and it all seems to be out together well. AAA+++!

Much better than those cheap ones that bend and/or break easily. Spend a few bucks more and get a good one.

Purchased for rock hunting. Breaks down easily for transport. Basket end screws off to make hiking stick. Easily adjustable length. No tools needed. Nice handle with wrist strap. Pretty sturdy. Should last quite a while if disassemble, rinse, and thoroughly dry after using, especially in salt water. When received mine the latch was not attached so couldn’t figure it out. Contacted company and they got back to me very quickly with photos and offer to replace immediately if couldn’t fix. This piece is normally attached but came off during shipping. Took less than 5 minutes to fix. Excellent customer service. Also found that it’s great for picking up and throwing cat (or dog) toys. Easy on the back.

The Sand Dipper – Mid Size Adjustable with Extra Long Handle is awesome! I’ve picked up so many rocks, seashells, and treasures with it, and it really saves my back every time. Everyone who sees it wants to know where I got it, and it’s easy to adjust and use. Makes beachcombing way more fun and comfortable. Highly recommend!

This product is what you need for shelling! The length & handle with the strap is perfect. It was great to be able to walk along the shore & scoop up the shells I liked without bending down. It has definitely saved me a lot of aches & pains the next day. The detachable scooper was amazing as well for when I wanted to use this product in the water. It was big enough to scoop up a decent chunk of shells. The only negative is the metal on the scooper seems like it would break down & get flimsy or break off after using awhile.

I have back problems so bending to pick up shells has become too hard. I bought this and was surprised by how well made it is. It has a sturdy handle that reminds me of a hiking pole handle. The length can be adjusted for your reach. The basket makes it easy to scoop and rinse your finds easily. I'm so happy with this!

Why did I not buy this sooner!? Made rock hounding so much easier! Pretty sturdy for the work I put it through. I was worried I was going to snap it with how much digging and scooping I did for hours, but it held up great.

Love this. The combination of the dipper for picking things up off of the beach and the fact that this pole turns into a short hiking stick makes it the perfect tool for me. The hiking pole might not work if you’re very tall. I am 5 foot three and it’s perfectly fine for me. Really useful for the trails where I have to hike down a steep track to get to the beach. I can use the pole as a hiking stick and when I get to the bottom I screw the dipper part on and I’m ready to go. The entire pole and dipper accessory feel very sturdy. Very happy with this product!

Bought for someone with back problems to help clean cats litter tray and it works a treat. It has adjustable height so great for all and is easily cleaned. Well packaged and arrived on time.
