I sourced many on-line documents, my local information base and my own resource base of 37 years in order to develop a comprehensive in-house investigative program for frontline Officers in my company.Having studied the information in this book by Lisa Guerin, J.D., I have found that she has put together a very informative, well thought-out and comprehensive 'Guide' that triggers in the reader, who has a foundation and or experience in workplace investigation, different and useful methodologies that enable useful insights to assist in understanding another's view on the topic.It is essentially a guide, and a good one at that...but it allows you to choose you own paths to a successful structuring of a workplace investigative system.Guerin, Lisa. This book was ok. It was mostly speculative, like advice you would get from an investigator on the street. There was nothing in depth.

A MUST HAVE for anyone in HR

I really like the clear and methodical way this deals with Workplace Investigations. A great buy for first time managers and/or staff who are new to investigations. There are a couple of areas mentioning statutory requirement, and it is for this reason it only scored a four star. The legal information is geared to the United States of America.
