I've bought multiple Miter cases for other audio devices over the years and all of them have fit perfectly while still being easy to remove. This is the first case that's not only borderline impossible to install but also impossible to remove, the only way I was able to get it off was to peel it apart layer-by-layer which is completely unacceptable for something this expensive. Thankfully there was no damage to my device but to say I'm pissed off that I had to destroy the case to remove it is an understatement. Whoever designed this case needs to be fired, as they're clearly not capable of making something that will actually fit the device properly. Heed the warnings other people have left and skip this case, get iFi's case if you need one for your Hip Dac 1 or 2 as that doesn't have the fitment issues even though it doesn't look as nice as this case. Will definitely be second-guessing any purchases of cases from Miter in the future after this experience.
