Smek for President! (The Smek Smeries, 2)

My second all time favorite book! (With my all time favorite being the first book to this series, The True Meaning of Smekday)I love getting to spend more time with J.Lo and Tip because they're the very best. Tip even makes a few new friends along the way in this book since the two had gone to visit the Boov's new planet in one of Saturn's moons. (In hopes for J.Lo to redeem himself to his people for the big mistake that made him a criminal Boov in the first book)For sure you will love this book if you loved the first one. I don't see why you wouldn't! You might even still love it even if you didn't read the first one! (Maybe just a bit more confusing though, you should probably read the first one. Just my advice anyways)But if you HAVE read the first one, I think reading the second book is a must! I feel the two compliment each other too much to NOT read them both. The second book really follows up with the events that took place in the first one and I feel really bring the two together as one whole complete good adventure with less loose ends left at the end.Which may mean trouble for me, who is kinda of really starting to crave a third book now. Might need a third alien invasion or something here. ANYWAY-I love this series so much! I'd love another book, but I also just feel so happy knowing I got TWO great books already!Please love these books!

Another fun, clever, playful adventure with Tip and J.Lo. If you liked (or, ahem, LOOOOOVED) the first book, you will definitely enjoy this one too. If you have not already read the first book, "the True Meaning of Smekday", bug or download it immediately and read it before you read this one. To be completely honest, I liked the first book even better, but I still loved this one so much.Although you could technically call it a kid's book, or at least young adult, since the narrator is thirteen in this one, I discovered the True Meaning of Smekday in my thirties, and I'll be rereading these two for the rest of my life.The characters are fun, and I love the way Rex plays with language. Entertaining and just a pleasure to read... Two of my favorite books. Just love them both.

It was fun to revisit J'Lo and Tip, and the book is entertaining, but it doesn't quite have the effortless humor of The Real Meaning of Smekday which preceded it.

Big hit with the kiddo

Boovs rule.....Start with the first book of the series. Great good humor and language. It's as you would imagine the ideal bedtime story.

A very funny book! Continues the story from the original "The True Meaning of Smek Day". Another great book by Adam Rex.

LOVED the first book. Couldn't finish this one.
