This is a pretty nice set of food colors. I like having such a good variety of colors available to me, so I love getting a big set like this. Of course it is still easy to mix a couple if you want to get even more colors. I have not tried out all of the colors yet, but everything I have used seems to work great. I am curious to see if the black actually looks black, but I haven't had the occasion to try that out yet. That always seems like a difficult color to achieve with a few drops of food coloring. I tried it in some water to give myself an idea of how dark it would appear and I do think it will require many drops to get a good dark color, but it is still a nice option to have. The bottles are pretty small, which is fine, but it does make the lids a bit difficult to get off at times. You need to twist them off and since they are so small it is hard to get a good hold of the bottle in one hand and the lid in the other. The plus side of that, however, is that the lids are very secure and do not leak! It comes in a nice box that is easy to open and makes it easy to store all the colors together. The ingredients and production date are clearly labeled on the box as well. I am happy with these food colors and would recommend them to others.

I love playing with color. My favorite thing to do when I was in Art school. It's fun and interesting. Here's a great way to do so and incorporate it into your culinary experience. Try a little of this and little of that for vibrant colors. You only need to use a very small amount. Of course, the more you use, the deeper your color will get. Larger batches will need a few more drops. But any cook knows that.Honestly, I'm not the best with knowing how safe these might be for food uses. I can only assume that they've passed FDA requirements and are safe to consume. Not like you are ingesting all that much.I also like using these to make pretty colored bottle fluids for decorative window sun catching decor. Very pretty when the light filters through them and a great way to recycle some of your prettier bottles.

Terrible …the colors were not what they say and you need lots of drops to make a difference… can’t get refund .. WHAT A RIP OFF

Worked really well with cakes a buttercream especially when I was color correcting and needed to change the color of icing from an off-white to a stark white. I've used this in breads and cakes and frostings and jelly and it always works for me no matter what and I don't have to use a ton of it to make it work either. No taste changes or changes to the structure of my recipes.

Pros:Colors are extremely vibrant and a little goes a long way.Colors mix together well - I used black/white to make gray. Thoroughly mixed, no streaks.Nice selection of colors.Bottles are easy to control for amount dispensed and tips are precut.Box is handy for easy storage.Cons:Not really "neon" as far as I could tell.Colors don't spread well in soap base. They're bright but don't spread throughout soap molds.Bottom line: For soap making they have a place but are not the only coloring set that I'd use.

Please food colors are so convenient to have for all my baking needs. There is no aftertaste when I add a color to my batter. I add enough drops to the batter until I get to the color I desire and it bakes nicely with a good color.
