WiFi Meat Thermometer Digital with 4 Probe, App Notification Alert

Very happy with this wifi thermometer system. The app is full of useful features, and the wifi connection is very consistent. I highly recommend wired probes like this over the wireless ones that end up with connection issues, and batteries that don't last long enough for a brisket cook. This setup is the best value out there IMHO.

Excellent product and a must have for serious grillers/smokers. Good battery life and app connectivity. Accurate temp readings +\- 2 degrees amongst the probes when placed in boiling water.

I bought this to replace an old Redi-Chek wireless thermometer system that I've had for about ten years. I love how this one connects to my wifi network instead of to an additional unit through bluetooth. I'm generally on the opposite side of my house from where my grill is, so being able to use the range of my wifi network to monitor temperatures is awesome. Another feature I really appreciate is how the app plots the temperature on a graph, so not only can I see what the current temperature is, I can see how the temperature has been trending for the entire cooking session. I cooked a few racks of ribs on my smoker shortly after getting this device and it worked very well. My only concern is that it has a built-in battery that has to be charged. I would much prefer it just had replaceable batteries like you can buy anywhere.

I have a charcoal smoker and its built in wifi is flaky at best. I got so fed up with fighting with that, and then also was using a meater+ but it died after several years use. Came across this one looking to replace it and I'm loving this. So much nicer since it's on wifi, and having 4 probes means I can use one placed inside the smoker for the ambient temp, and then 3 in different meats and keep a watch on them even if I take the dog for a run or out to the store and I can keep an eye on things.The only issue I've really noticed with it soo far is charging. It seems to need to be left powered "on" in order to properly charge. No biggie but twice I left it plugged in while "off" and then went to use it and it was near dead. Not sure if that was just flaky cables both times but if I power it on then it starts charging just fine. The times I've used it the battery has lasted fine with long 16 hour smokes. You can also just use a USB charger and cord and plug it in with the smoker if you are going really long or if it starts to run low so its not a big issue.

I bought this product in 2021. I have used it probably 5-10 times per year since then. Overall it has worked well but I feel I need to leave a review now as I have a serious issue with it. Govee has been making changes to the app over the years, as you would expect, most have been fine, but their latest version of the app has made the product pretty much useless. They have tried to make "easier" to use by forcing you to just select the type of meat etc... but this allows for no flexiblity in having a probe to track the grill temp above 212 degrees, so I cannot set any target temps above 212. You also cannot edit your target temps once you start cooking. The app is non responsive now when trying to make any changes it just spins. I believe their QA testing was seriously skipped on this last version. One of my probes stopped working a couple years ago so I only have 3 now but I can live with that. A bad app makes the device useless. I will be manually tracking this cook and if the app is not improved I will need to replce this unit with another manufacturer.

I bought a few other wifi temp probes. The issue I was running into was the battery wouldn't last longer than 16 hours which is a problem when I'm doing briskets and holding overnight. Happy to report that this things battery lasted 40 hours on a single charge. The app is easy to use, and the temperature readings are fairly accurate.

This device has changed my life. Since purchasing, I've won the lottery, found the city of Atlantis and discovered life on Mars. This is how much time I've recovered by not having to baby sit my smoker. I'm currently working on time travel and teleportation... I'll keep you posted.
